What Could Cause Irritation Around The Penis After Washing It With Dettol?
Hello doctor I washed my penis with undiluted detto and suddenly I heard irritation and after knowing I undress my pants and I found my penis is burnt and when I tried to urinate I felt some pains and I stopped.but after a couple of minutes I applied olive oil on my penis I don t feel irritant any more

Dettol is an antiseptic and disinfectant. In undiluted form it is quite strong. It can cause skin irritation, allergic reaction in some, it may also burn the delicate area when applied undiluted. You experienced the side effects of undiluted Dettol. No worries. Wash your penis thoroughly with clean water and after it gets dry apply ointment Soframycin on the area affected. You will be much relieved.
To get relieve from pain you can take analgesic, one stat after pain. It will reduce pain and inflammation. Be gentle with yourself and avoid any sexual activity until it heals. It may take some time. Be patient. Take care of your hygiene, do not let it get infected. Wear soft loose-fitting pants so that you do not hurt the affected area. Do not touch, or scratch.
