I have a group of lesions on the entry of my vagina, and they itch. The group also leads to a defined line of similar lesions on my labia minora. They are more like tiny skin tags or irritations, except they itch pretty bad. There isn't a lot of discharge, although I did notice a little bit of thick discharge before I started itching. I am 20 and a virgin. Could this be a yeast infection? And could it be caused by not cleaning properly for a few days as I was out of town?
Fleshy bumps in the labia could be due to minor bacterial infections, Bartholin's cyst, Fordyce spots, genital herpes or warts or any allergic reaction to cosmetics used. Vaginal infections should also be ruled out. I would suggest a direct clinical examination and also a vaginal smear in order to identify the cause. Vaginal infections may require a course of antibiotic therapy for at least 5 days. Genital warts may require cauterisation or cryotherapy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
