What Could Cause Lumpy And Itchy Knee?

I scraped my right knee when I fell about two years ago. It first got infected and took a long time to heal of which the scab turned into a thick lump on the skin. Then it's been itchy from time to time. When I press on it it doesn't hurt, nor is it squishy. It's just lumpy and itchy. What's going on?
