What Could Cause Menstrual Irregularity?

hello,
my daughter is 18years old. Her periods are not regular.last year i had showed her to a gynecologist. The doctor has for a blood test and ultrason of whole abdomen including pelvis . All reports were normal so the doctor prescribed two medicines- Ginette-35 and Obimet-SR-500mg.She has been taking these medicines since one year and her periods were on time. In March i consulted a general physician, and i was told that these medicines shouldn't be given to my daughter. So i told my daughter to stop having them. Since that month she didn't have her periods at all. So i would like to have your suggestions.

Hi,

Irregular periods can be due to hormonal imbalance (thyroid, ovarian or pituitary), weakness, or polycystic disease of ovary. She needs to be investigated for all and then treated cause specifically. Consult an endocrinologist, gynecologist or a physician according to the cause.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
