i was seen at mayo clinic a few years ago and was told that i had a tear in my bladder. At that time nothing was done about it, now i am having alot of fluid building up .I take a fluid pill daily but within a few hours the fluid is built up again. I notice that every time i drink anything i start swelling. My question is can urine be leaking out into my system and could i still urinate like i should at the same time?
Hello and thank you for asking HCM. I will start answering your questions from the bottom. -can urine be leaking out into my system and could i still urinate like i should at the same time? The answer is no. If there was some leak in your bladder,in the abdominal cavity, you would have chemical peritonitis caused by urine, and probably undergo surgery,so there is no chance that you have any leak in your bladder. In my opinion there is a problem with your kidneys function probably so you need to have them checked. If possible,i need to know the reason why you are taking the fluid pill, the usage, and what doctor gave it to you. Was it a cardiologist,or a nephrologist?
