What Could Cause On And Off Numbness In Left Arm And Hand While Walking And Hiking?

Hi - Left arm and hand go seriously numb when walking and hiking. Am in good physical shape, age 66, horse rider. It is very distracting and uncomfortable. It starts about 5 minutes into my walk/hike and goes away very quickly when I am finished. I don t carry weights or anything - just walk/hike, some hills. Thanks. Otherwise, it never happens doing anything else.

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having angina giving rise this problem.
Go for EKG and rule out coronary insufficiency.
There is also a chance of having cervical spondilitis.
Avoid long walking and horse riding.
Ok and take care.
