Hello,

Take sitz bath 2-3 times a day to get relieve. Take care of your hygiene. Avoid taking spicy or fast food. Do not take nuts, popcorn, processed or packaged food. Keep yourself hydrated and add fiber in your diet. Take laxatives at bed time. Avoid constipation. You can apply externally nitroglycerin (Rectiv) on the area affected.

This can help increase blood flow to the fissure and promote healing. Applying topical anesthetic creams like lidocaine (Xylocaine) will help to relieve pain and discomfort. You are advised to get clinically examined by a GP; you may need Botox injection to relax spasms. Your treating doctor may prescribe blood pressure medicines, such as nifedipine or diltiazem, to help relax the anal sphincter. In case of no response to treatment your treating doctor may recommend surgery.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
