What Could Cause Pain From Elbow To Arm Pit?

I had ovary removed 2 weeks ago. I'm now on HRT. But today I woke up with pain from elbow up my arm a bit now the pain continues to armpit. I dd have niggle pain at iv stop in elbow yesterday. The iv in my elbow was only in during surgery but at my wrist was in for 3 days. It was a 2 1/2 hour op

Hi , thanks for the question,

First possibility is the pain due to iv cannula if persisting for long time can cause thrombophlebitis which will come down over a period of time.Thrombophob ointment can be applied.

Second possibility..... Pain in shoulder radiating to elbow can be due to HRT (progesterone itself causes adverse effect of joint pains ). Just exercise with hot water fomentation should do.
