What Could Cause Pain In The Inner Elbow On The Right Side?

I'm experiencing a pain in the inner elbow on my right side. It hurts to extend the whole way and it seems that my larger vein is more prominent but tiny spider veins have also appeared at the inner area as well. (Feels almost like it tightens up when I extend) My arm also feels chilled. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.

Hi,
These may be the symptoms of golfer's elbow, also known as medial epicondylitis, which refers to the onset of pain on the inner aspect of the elbow joint. The humerus bone of the upper arm has bony protrusions on the inside and outside of the elbow called epicondyles.
Golfer’s elbow develops when the tendon on the inside aspect of the elbow becomes irritated at it’s attachment to the bone. The symptoms are usually pain and tenderness in the area. There is often no swelling or redness.
I suggest trying an elbow brace or strap which your physio could advise on. An ice pack may help when you are in pain. The main treatment that has been shown to be effective in resolving the problem is an exercise programme of specific strengthening and stretching exercises which your physiotherapist can teach you. Injections / surgery are usually only required in a very small minority of cases.
I hope this helps you.
