What Could Cause Pain On The Left Side Of The Neck Despite Taking Medication For Sinus Infection?

For the past month, I have been having pain on the left side of my neck, which seems to hurt mostly at night. The achy pain starts from the back lower left side of my head down to the bottom of my neck. In the last 10 days, I went to the doctor and was given an antibiotic for a sinus infection, fluid in my ears, and congestion. I have taken all the medicine and my neck still hurts.

Hi,

Pain on the side of the neck can be related to muscle spasm or cervical spondylosis. Avoid using a pillow and apply local analgesic gel for relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon
