What Could Cause Pale Skin And Acne With Delayed Periods?
I missed my period last month and should have started my period yesterday but haven t. I am typically very regular and take birth control. Because I missed my period last month, I took 2 home pregnancy tests - both tests were negative. My skin has been paler than usual and I have had a little acne, but otherwise no real issues. I became vegetarian about 9 months ago but otherwise have not had any big changes. I am 5 2 and weigh 112. Any ideas what might be going on?
Hello, In the present scenario, you should get a trans-vaginal sonogram along with a blood test for pregnancy which is highly specific and sensitive and see an expert for further evaluation. Missing a period can often happen with oral contraceptives, but failure should always be kept in mind. Acne is an usual accompaniment when on hormones and cannot be credited solely as an early pregnancy symptom. Your BMI is slightly on the higher side and you may have to take care of that. Please maintain a healthy diet and regular exercise. Hope this helps.
