What Could Cause Redness On The Head Of Penis?

Hi, I haven't had intercourse in a while as my partner is pregnant. We recently did it a few times however now I'm a bit red on the head of my penis and a bit of flaky skin is present just on the head, it's not really uncomfortable more unsightly. Should I go to my GP?
