Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

With aging, it's usual to find reduced joint fluid-Synovil fluid. Its part of aging. If the patient had visited my clinic, I would have advised X-rays to asses severity of joint changes and would advise accordingly. I would try all non-surgical means of treatment like physiotherapy, home based exercises, lifestyle modification, weight reduction before advising surgical options.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rajesh Gayakwad, Orthopedic Surgeon
