What Could Cause Severe Head Pressure In A 51-year-old Man?
My husband is 51 years old he is great health overall. he works out twice a day. he is very active. he is 5 5 tall and weighs 184lb ( muscle weight). for that past two days he has been feeling pressure in his head that is not an actual headache. his Blood pressure is currently 117/96. he had a physical 2 months ago and is fine.
Pressure sensation is the most common manifestation of tension-type headache. It is a very common phenomenon.
If blood pressure remains fine and there are no other symptoms there is no indication of any more serious cause, increased tension in the scalp muscles is the most likely cause, often triggered/exacerbated by stress.
A simple over the counter anti-inflammatory medication like Ibuprofen is usually enough to alleviate the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
