What Could Cause Severe Vaginal Bleeding Post Intercourse?

So I’ve recently lost my virginity last month and bled a lot for more than a few days which I believe it was around my period should’ve started because I bled for 7 days straight. but recently I was having intercourse and I didn’t bleed till I was in the doggy style position and bled alot again but now it’s just spotting. I don’t know if that’s normal or not, please help.

Hello,

That kind of bleeding that you mentioned is a little too much. He could have hurt you during penetrative sex, get clinically examined for injuries or tears. For relief, you can apply ointment Soframycin on the affected area. If sore, on the vulva and vagina you can take acetaminophen, one stat when needed.

If you were doing unprotected penetrative intercourse then you are suggested to get STD tests done. You may want to get checked for sexually transmitted disease, if he made contact between his & your genitals. This is to be on the safer side.

In unprotected sex there is possibility to catch some STDs without showing symptoms for some time. If his precum or ejaculatory fluid (cum) made contact with your cervical mucus (which I assume it did, if he was trying to penetrate you) you can be pregnant if you didn't take emergency CP within 72 hours of penetrative intercourse.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
