What Could Cause Sharp Pain And Burning During Urination Along With Bladder Incontinence? Earlier Had Brachytherapy
Urologist I Had Brachytherapy two years ago and all went well. My PSA down to negligeable. Teo months ago I started to have sharp pain and burning at the beginning of urination. I sometimes have incontenence. The sharp pain is in the bladder area. What should I do?
Hello Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have undergone Brachytherapy for cancer of the prostate two years ago and now have obstructive urinary symptoms .
This could be most likely to be due to post radiation stricture of the prostatic urethra , This can be confirmed only on endoscopic examination of Urethral passage and bladder (Cystoscopy).
Please consult your urologist for clinical evaluation and Cystoscopic examination to confirm the diagnosis.
Further treatment will depend upon the endoscopic findings.
