What Could Cause Skull Indentations, Headaches And Nausea In A 21-year-old Woman?
I am a 21 year old female. I have been perfectly healthy my entire life. About 4 months ago I started having pretty bad headaches, light and sounds made it worse. I also felt very nauseous. The headache felt like it was behind my eyes and on my temples. About 2 weeks ago I found a indentation on my skull that has never been there before. It s about 4 inches long and about 1 inch wide. It s on the right side of my skull. Just worried
The headaches you are experiencing is likely to be Migraine headaches. Avoid triggering factors like bright light, loud sound, chocolate, coffee, etc to prevent migraine attacks. An acute attack of Migraine can be managed with Advil 400 mg. If the migraine attacks are persistent and severe, then other medications like triptans, beta blockers need to be tried. As far as the indentation on the skull you noticed, it is difficult to give an answer without a detailed history and a physical examination. So please follow up with your primary provider for necessary evaluation.
