What Could Cause Slight Pinching Pain In Upper Chest And Heart Region?
Hi, My name is Jon and I have been noticing that I have Been having to take large breaths every once in a while to feel comfortable & Sometimes it's very difficult. I also noticed that my saliva gets really foamy and these all usually happen at night or when I'm trying to relax. Is there a reasonable explanation on what's going on? I also have a mild case of Pectes escragum & have been havin slight pinching pains in my upper chest and heart regen.
hello and welcome to HCM, The symptoms that you are experiencing are that of difficulty in breathing. Taking large deep breaths giving comfort suggests that there is problem of the respiratory tract. The saliva getting frothy again suggests some abnormality of the respiratory tract. You need to consult a pulmonologist for clinical examination, imaging of the chest region and relevant investigations. Dyspnea or difficulty in breathing occurs in diseases of the respiratory tract as well as cardiovascular system. The investigations will determine the site of involvement- respiratory tract or cardiovascular system. The further management will be guided by the result of the investigations.
As you are having mild Pectus excavatum, I suggest to run some cardiac testing to evaluate your current situation (i.e. how much damage is causing to your chest by this malformation):
