What Could Cause Small, Red Bump On Scalp Causing Headache, Discoloration On Stoamch?
Hi, i have a small red (pimple like) bump on my scalp, it causes me major headaches and also hurts when I touch it. (I have low iron) is that maybe the cause? Also, I have discoloration on my stomach, the skin is lighter in certain spots. What is the problem? Please help.
Small, red bumps on the scalp are commonly due to folliculitis. To reduce the itching in the scalp you should keep the scalp clean.
Wash your hair & clean the scalp with antibacterial soap. You can use Selsun shampoo or any other medicated anti dandruff shampoo.
You can also use Ketoconazole, an antifungal shampoo, it is equally effective. Keep your scalp oiled with almond oil or coconut oil. Take care of your hygiene, shampoo & oil your hair regularly.
For discoloration in the stomach area you are suggested to get clinically examined by a dermatologist to rule out vitiligo. Other medical conditions may be autoimmune disease, heredity, exposure to sun, etc.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
