Thank you. I had a chiropractic adjustment and for three days after I had pain in my ear and throat. My glands were also sore on that side. The pain was so bad I thought I might have an ear infection. I followed up with Nurse Practitioner today and she said ears are fine. It must be due to drainage caused by the adjustment of my TMJ. I ve never experienced this before. Can this be the case?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood that you had been to the Chiropractor, for adjustments after you had pain in the ear and throat. Well, I doubt that Chiropractor can really help in this regards. Then you visited the Nurse Practitioner, who said ears to be fine and told you that the problems can be due to drainage caused by adjustment if your TMJ. Now, the most important point is the issue of pain in the ear and the glands on the same side are sore. This looks to be a case of inflamed lymph nodes and you need to visit at least a qualified Doctor to have a clinical proper assessment,, examination and if need be a reference to the ENT and proper investigations of blood and FNAC of the nodes. Take a course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines and get well properly. Further tests if there is no response to the medical management.
