What Could Cause Spotting After Getting A Contraceptive Injection Post A Missed Period?

Hi, I m on the two months contraceptive injection, started it about a year ago, last, I missed my date and went to get it, week after my date has passed, now I ve noticed some spotting of which is unusual as it had a already stopped my periods, so what could be the reason for spotting cos I m used no to be on periods

Hi,

Contraceptive injections are inbuilt with hormone progesterone which is known to cause irregular periods and irregular bleeding patterns. If you were already delayed and were without protection those days, you should check pregnancy by repeat home pregnancy test and USG pelvis if needful.
