Hi,
The more accurate answer might have possible if you have mentioned your age, menstrual and obstetric history. Usually during the premenstrual period because of reproductive hormonal fluctuation, abdominal cramps,
lightheadedness, etc. symptoms can be seen. With increasing age this type of symptoms can become more prominent and frequent.
If there is any possibility of pregnancy if you miss your expected date of periods, please go for a pregnancy test, preferably
blood test to find out the possibility. Other possibilities are
pelvic inflammatory disease,
urinary tract infection, etc. If symptoms persist, better consult your gynecologist once and get evaluated. Clinical examination and checking blood sugar levels,
hemoglobin, blood pressure, thyroid profile, etc. can help in finding the possible cause of lightheadedness.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
