What Could Cause Swollen Lip With No Help From Benedryl And Alcohol Application?
my lower right lip is very swollen I took 10 mil. of benderyl to help. I also applied alcohol to it. I don t know if something bit me or if its due to allergic reaction from an ice cream frosty I ate. I am also wearing a knight guard for myTMJj that I just got. I have been wearing it for over 48 hours and had not experienced anything .

There can be other reason also apart from allergic reaction like herpes simplex , trauma to lip , sun burn and chapping of lip . I would suggest you to apply cold compresses or ice pack to lips 2-3 times a day , apply lip balm with SPF 15 , do not pick , lick or suck lips and avoid sun exposure . If condition doesn't get normal in 24 hours the consult dermatologist and dentist for material of mouth guard . Doctor may prescribe steroid ointment , antibiotics or anti allergic drugs according to diagnosis .
