Hi and welcome to HCM..
Thank you for posting your query..
I read your question completely and have understood it well..
I being a surgeon, we come across many such cases. Like,
vomiting something which the patients have not eaten!
Well, friend do not get worried about this. No major problem.
Look, two things must have happened in your case.
1. It may be the tea which you have had, and in the stomach after mixing with HCl and other juices, it may have taken that color.
2. I dunno your age, but sometimes old people taking few medications like
NSAID s,
Aspirin etc have upper gastro intestinal bleed. Gi bleed we call it.
Generally, it is brown, coffee colored but Can be purple as you mentioned.
But again, I
stress upon the point that you should not worry.
Do these things..
1. Just forget that incident. And see that you should not face such a problem.
You can take, Tablet Tablet
Pantoprazole 40mg adult dose once a day, before breakfast for one week.
It should help you.
2. In case you develop any such purple, brown vomiting then please go ahead with upper gi
endoscopy.
This will tell us what exactly it is and the further plan of management.
Hope this helps you..
Take care and God bless.
