What Could Cause Vaginal Bleed During Pregnancy?

I am 38 weeks pregnant now and had a vaginal exam and was fully closed. I came home and went to the bathroom and wiped and had smeared red blood after 3 times of wiping. After a few hours later I went to the bathroom and wiped and had brown on the tissue several times. called the dr and said to call if I have any pains or more leaking. But I would want to know what the brown might be.

Dear madam,I understand your concern.Normally in pregnancy the cervix becomes soft so when vaginal examination is done it may bleed sometimes.nothing to worry about that.As you are 38 wks you may get into labour anytime.so call the doc whenever you get pains or leaking .dont worry and have a happy delivery.
