What Could Cause Very Hot Body While On BP Medications?
I overheat alot, and when it s muggy or humid it s worse for me.I just go out to do errands and I overheat, my head is soaking wet by the time I cash out in stores then get back to my truck. The smell of my head as I towel off is yuck. I would need to wash my hair to many times in this type of thing. I do take high blood pressure meds, and thyroid meds, and am 45 yrs old. I even thrive in the cold weather, but if I;m doing outdoor stuff in winter I almost have to wear a tank top and shorts . what can I do...go live with the penguins in the artic?
Some medicines used for high blood pressure are known to produce excessive sweating. They belong mainly to certain drug groups. If you let me know what medicine you are on now, I can suggest a medicine from another class of drugs. I see your kind of symptoms also in patients who suffer from hyperthyroidism. This can occur either from an excess activity of the Thyroid gland or from an excess of thyroid medicines for hypothyroidism. It would be a good idea to do your thyroid function tests. If you have further query, I am available to respond. Dr. Noble Zachariah If you find my answer helpful, please indicate the same for the information of others with similar problems.
