What Could Cause Yeast Infection, Abdominal Cramps, Hot Flashes And Vaginal Burning In A 52-year-old?
Hello, I am a 52 year old woman. I am experiencing a yeast infection with abdominal cramping like menstrual cramps. The cramps occur on and off. Not having nausea. Burning around labia of vagina but discharge is not coming out. I no longer get my period. Have not had it since 2016. Could this be menopausal related? I have a lot of hot flashes and night sweats. I am under a lot of stress. I have high blood pressure, but it is well controlled with medication. As of last year s check up I do not have diabetes or hight cholesterol. Why do I have a yeast infection and cramping? Thank you.
The presence of hot flushes and night sweats can be due to menopause which is also associated with some lowering of immunity and dryness of vagina. The dryness and low immunity can be cause for yeast infection in otherwise healthy women.
