What Could Cheekbone Swelling With Bruises Suggest?

My boyfriend got hit with a large rock while brushhogging yesterday. It hit his left cheekbone. He has swelling, slight bruising, pain, and what appears to look almost like a brush burn. He has a headache since it happind and has been taking ibuprofen 600mg and has not had any relief. What should his concerns be? Should he seek medical attention?

He has headache since injury.Taking ibuprofen 600mg and had no relief. He should have some relief from ibuprofen. Is he taking it 3 times a day ? His concern should be increase in swelling and fever.
