I am a cross country runner, I am 15 and I run 2 times per week. I recently tried smoking but do not now (as of 3 days ago) for 2 weeks at the most. When I run and pace myself I get a pain more in the left side of my chest, I usually breathe a lot more through my mouth than my nose.
