What Could Constant Knee Swelling Suggest?

Hello, Dr. Grief.I am 20 years old and I have always had bad knees (ever since I could remember). They are always swollen and when I m on my feet for more than four hours they become extremely sore and hurt to walk on. Recently I ve noticed there are indents in my knees (same area on both knees) and I was wondering if that s something I should be concerned over.

Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that you are having either arthralgia or chondromalacia. To confirm this diagnosis I would recommend you to get ESR, CRP and WBC. Also you need to get MRI of the knee joint. if there is cartilae damage than you need to take Dicerin tablet for cartilage healing along with quadricpes strengthening exercises.
Along with this you should avoid squatting and sitting cross leg. If there is positive ESR, CRP and Ra factor than I would recommend you to take HCQ or Methotrexate tablet for swelling.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks
