What Could Continual Vomiting In An Infant Indicate?

Hello doctor, my son who is about to complete 8 months is continuoslly vomitting since evening.. Even he is vomitting liquid foods like water, mother feeds etc.. He has got dull and sleeping empty stomach now.. Please suggest the medice and will leaving him empty stomach solve his illness??? Please suggest, its urgent

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read facts of your query and reviewed it in context to your health issues submitted.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.
Your son seems to suffer from Acute Gastroenteiritis with teething-from RotaVirus.
IN the given scenario, I would suggest you to keep him Nil By Mouth for 12-24 hrs.
Supplementation of fluids is the Key.
Ice water sips to maintain fluids.
Saline / glucose water later on with tolerance increase, would recoup him.
Gradual shift to semiliquid and semisolid diet would be more helpful.
Anti-spasmodic and anti-emetic drops
and Antibiotics if -enteritis is there.
Get Second opinion with Pedicatric.Just don't worry and be patient and co-operate with your doctors,till you verify with your attending doctors.
