What Could Continued Stiffness In Achilles After Stopping Jogging Be Due To?

I have been jogging regulary two-three times a week the last three years. This summer I got pain and stiffness in my achilles. I stoppes jogging and redused all training. Still now in december I feel stiffness. What woulf you recomend me to do to get all renovered from this.

Hello,

This may be due to Achilles tendon injury. We call it Achilles tendinitis. As achilles is the largest tendon in the body it needs proper strengthening exercises.
I would advise the patient to consult a Orthopedician. Regular physiotherapy to strengthen the muscle. Light exercises which will not aggravate the pain. Analgesic for pain management.
