What Could Crackling Sound In Ears Having Undergone Ear Surgery Suggest?
Hello, I have a question about crackling sounds in my ears. I had ear surgery when I was 15 on both ears and have some permanent hearing loss. Now I have loud crackling sounds in both of my ears everytime I swallow. I swallow quite frequently because I seem to overproduce saliva. The crackling itself does not bother me, but I am concerned that such loud noises at such frequency could be further damaging my hearing. Is this possible?
I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
As per your details, it looks like eusthacian tube dysfunction( cold, pharyngitis, flu, sinusitis) during swallowing , your ear drum sucked in due to eustachin tube block ( connection between middle ear and nose.
you need to see an ent surgeon, get treatment for ent infections. if necessary, kindly do audiometry tests to know the hearing status.
Hope, I have answered your query, all the best, take care.
