What Could Dark Brown Patch Inside Top Lip Indicate?

I woke up one day about 2 weeks ago with a dark brown patch inside of my top lip. It looks like a bruise, but instead of purple or blue or black its just brown. It was darker at first but has faded a little bit but it still hasn t gone away..it doesn t hurt or anything. But what could it be?

Hi.
As per your case history you may be having a fixed drug eruption.
My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid taking any medication without consulting a doctor as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a triamcinolone gel on dark part twice daily.
3. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
