Hallow Dear,
The first cardinal symptom of
pregnancy is missing a period. Whenever any woman in reproductory age group who is sexually active misses her period, the dictum is to consider her as pregnant unless and until proved otherwise.
Please also look for the other cardinal symptoms of the early pregnancy. They are:
1.
Nausea,
vomiting and pica
2. Frequent urination
3. Breast Symptoms: Engorgement with tenderness, dark discolouration of nipples &
areola with areolar widening, Montgomery's tubercles under the areola and secretions through the nipples.
Even if these symptoms are present, pregnancy needs to be confirmed.
You have performed the pregnancy test on the urine rather too early; i.e. just 5 days after missed period. These tests are reliable about 8-10 days after the missed period. Done earlier, they may report false negative. So please repeat the test on the overnight first morning urine sample after one week. If still it reports negative, you are not pregnant. Alternatively you may opt for
Beta hCG test which gives reliable results even few days before missing a period.
If by either of these tests you are diagnosed as 'non-pregnant', you may expectantly wait for the menses to appear or take Tab.
Deviry for 5 days and then you should get withdrawal bleeding within 4-7 days.
Please get rid of the worries. Worry may further delay the menses. There are scientific ways to help you.
