What Could Delayed Periods With Pregnancy Symptoms With HPT Negative Indicate?

I am 39, mother of two. My period is 8 days late. My husband and I are not actively trying to conceive but we are sexually active throughout my cycle. I took a HPT 2 days ago and it was negative. I'm having pregnancy symptoms and today I noticed my urine is bright yellow. Should I retest? I have not started a prenatal vitamin because of the negative test, so its not due to B12. Any advice?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
The chances of pregnancy have always been there with unprotected sex.
You should repeat your urine pregnancy test.
You should consult a gynaecologist for blood examination and ultrasonography to rule out pregnancy.
If pregnancy is not there go for withdrawal bleeding medication.
I think I have answered your query if you are having further questions I will be happy to help you.
Regards
Dr.Richa
