What Could Diarrhea, fever & Splotches On Face In Infants Suggest?

Goodmorning, my child is 11 months and 3 weeks old. She s had non stop diarrhea, no vomiting, high fever (103.7-104.2), and is severely splotchy from head to toe. Her eyes are very red too. Is this probably a virus coming on? Or bacterial infection? She is drinking her formula.

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi... usually in this age group diarrhea is mostly viral in origin. But as you say that she is having splotchy all over the body, I feel that she should be examined by a doctor to check whether she is hemodynamically stable and also whether it is bacterial or viral illness. I suggest you take her to a physician or nearest Emergency Room immediately.
