What Could Discomfort And Tendon Tightening In Middle Toe Indicate?

I have been getting some discomfort under my middle toe where it joins my foot and more recently the tendon on the top of that toe has become tight (especially on a morning) when I move my toes up and down the tendon pulls quite a bit. Is this something which can be treated?

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

As the issue with the tendon appears to me like a nerve abnormal reaction.

I think taking an MRI lumbar spine will be of help to understand if there is any small nerve root entrapment or spinal cord touch by the disc can lead to some symptoms like tendon pull.

Doing an MRI is advised. then core stability exercises, spinal stability exercises, hip muscles strengthening exercises, lower limb strengthening should help about the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
