What Could Fleshy Growth From Vagina Causing Urination When Pushed Mean?
I have a fleshy growth coming out of my vagina. It gets bigger and smaller, causes urination when I push on it. I had a hysterectomy in 1976. I am 66 years old, divorced and been sexually inactive for quite a few years. I had a double mastectomy for breast cancer so this concerns me. I have an appointment to see my doctor in another 5 days. In the mean time I would like to know what this could be. Thank you, Crystal
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. From your description, it appears that you may have developed a cystocele/cystourethrocele. A proper clinical evaluation will clarify. There can be a prolapse of the vaginal walls as age advances and the muscles of the perineal floor lose their tone. Toning exercises, use of pessaries to support the walls, bladder training are some means of medical management. Surgical correction is done when there is no response. Hope this helps.
