Urologist 's  Response
I need to know how old you are. If you are an elderly male patient you may have an enlarging prostate which could affect urine flow and bladder emptying. Your lower abdominal discomfort could be secondary to acute infection of the bladder (cystitis) or bladder outlet obstruction without infection. You need a full urological physical exam and a transrectal ultrasound.
