Headache and than palpitation seems to be related to pain or anxiety. Pain or anxiety causes increased sympathetic drive from our body and as a result, heart rate increase.
It is a normal phenomenon and needs no medication. But I will still advise you to get an ECG done at the time of these palpitations to rule out any abnormal arrhythmia.
I hope treating the headache will cause your palpitations to go away.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Sameer Maheshwari, Cardiologist
