What Could It Be If Child Is Having A Bump On Top Of Head Which Is Growing And Filled With Pus?

Hi,

My daughter is 1yr old and recently i noticed that she had this pimple like ball on the top of her head which was yellowish colour, at first it was small and now seems to be getting bigger and looks like is filling up with puss. She has minor cradle cap. It doesnt seem to be bothering her, but i am getting worried as it is getting bigger. Docs have told me it is nothing but it isnt easing my worry.

Hi
Welcome to healthcaremagic
You didn't mention whether that skin lesion is a cut and painful or chronic and non painful.Acute painful lesion indicates furuncle caused by streptococcal or staphylococcal infection. It needs drainage of pus and oral antibiotic. Chronic lesion could be sebaceous cyst which doesn't need treatment or it can be removed by planned excision for cosmetic purpose
Happy to help you
Best regards
