Hi,

According to your history the points that can help you are:
-Rarely urine pregnancy test kits can give false negative results, so please go for a blood test for pregnancy.
- If the test gives a negative result means, if the serum beta HCG levels are less than 5 Milli international units per mL, you can exclude the possibility of pregnancy.
- If the blood test is negative, the possibility is that sometimes minimal spotting can be seen during the premenstrual period due to the reproductive hormone fluctuation. Also, in the premenstrual period symptoms like nausea, breast tenderness and engagement, mild abdominal cramps, heartburn, etc., can be seen. Post this, you get normal menstrual flow soon.
- If you do not get the regular flow and if the symptoms persist, better to consult your Gynecologist once, get examined and undergo an ultrasound.

With this work up the possible cause of your problem can be identified and treatment can be given accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
