What Could It Be If Having Chronic Cough At Night And Metallic Taste In Mouth When Coughing?
I had been diagnosed with bronchitis back a few months ago during the winter but I still have a chronic chough, usually at night but occurs at other times as well like when laughing, and I have a metallic taste in my mouth when I'm coughing. What could this be?
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your situation and problem. Cough at night time and with emotions like laughing is mostly seen in asthmatic bronchitis. So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). If this is suggestive of obstructive airway defect than you need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS). Antihistamine and anti allergic drugs are also useful in this condition. So consult pulmonologist, first diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment. Hope I have solved your query. Wish you good health. Thanks.
