What Could It Be If Having Lump In The Shin After Hurting It While Playing Softball?

about a month ago i was playing in my high school softball varsity game and i was nailed in the shin with a line drive while i was pitching. it got bruised and a huge lump formed and then after a few weeks the bruise went away and the lump stayed. i keep icing it but it wont go down. what could it be? it is very sore to the touch and the lump sticks out about an inch off of my shin bone

Hi.
This is a very big lump and can be due to a large hematoma.
Since the bruise has been settled, but the hematoma remains, it is wise that the Doctors puts a wide-bore needle and aspirated this and puts a tight bandage to avoid re-accumulations.
