What Could It Be If Having Spots On Back And Stomach Which Do Not Peel, Itch Or Hurt?

Hello, I have notice lately that I have some spots (about 4) on my stomache and now my husband notice some on my back. they don t hurt, peel, burn, itch, or anything. Should I be concerned? My husband wants me to go to my dr just to make sure. I have looked on internet for possible self diagnose, it looks similar to Tinea Versicolor. Thanks for any info.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

I have gone through your query and it seems to be pityriasis Versicolor which is a superficial fungal infection of the skin. I would recommend you to apply topical anti fungal like clotrimazole cream on the affected areas twice daily for 3-4 weeks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
