What Could It Be If Something Bloody Is Hanging From Anus After Bowels?

Please help. Male here. I've been feeling a weird sensation in my bowels everytime I stand up after using the toilet. Tonight after using the toilet, I looked at my anus and saw that something thin was slightly protruding from it. I tried to get a hold of it but couldnt get a grip with my fingers. It did leave blood on them however. Is this a worm or something else?
