Hello, It may occur due to poor hygiene. Take bath regularly and clean the private area with water and antibacterial soap. Make sure that the smegma is washed and the area is clean. Underlying skin condition like eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and lichen planus can cause such symptoms. Skin irritation or inflammation due to shower gels, soaps, or chemicals present in condoms are responsible for such symptoms. Control your blood glucose level at all cost. Poor hygiene can increase risk of Infection. Phimosis can cause sweat and urine to accumulate and increases risk of Infection. To help reduce itching you can take antihistamine at bedtime and apply ointment hydrocortisone to reduce itching. In case of fungal infection, applying ointment clotrimazole is helpful. Taking a course of antifungal medicine orally will help reduce the symptoms. Get STD tests done to stay on the safer side.
