What Could Itchy Vaginal Discharge With Sores On Labia Suggest?

Was on augmentin for several days for sinus infection and strep throat. Developed severe itching in my vaginal area including my clitoris. There was a slight white discharge but wouldn t say it was like cottage cheese. It was a ton worse at night. So bad that I woke at 3am to go to the store to buy one day treatment of Monistat. There was little to no relief. I developed two paper cut like areas to my labia and perineum. I also have developed two yellow sores on my clitoris that r painful and sensitive to touch. I was prescribed a diflucan 200mg two days ago and the itching has somewhat subsided. I m to the point if tears wanting this to go away. I did contract herpes 14 years ago and haven t had a known outbreak since.

Hello,

You are suffering from severe itching in your vagina and clitoris. You also have white cotton cheese discharge. You have painful sores on the clitoris. You have a past history of having contacted herpes. You have vaginal yeast infection. Apply antifungal cream and ointment like clotrimazole cream on the vagina and clit for relief and to reduce itching.

You can take a repeat course of antifungal orally if there is itching and discomfort. Take care of your hygiene. Avoid sex or any sexual activity for a couple of days. Since you have a history of herpes, get clinically examined by an OBGYN and get STD and HPV tests done. If your reports come positive you will be treated for with antibiotics / antivirals.
