What Could Lead To Rise In BP In Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease?

I have COPD and have not been feeling well for several days. Today I have taken my b/p and when lying

down the diastolic was 41. That was over an hour ago. I have been sitting in a chair for approx 1 hour and

now my b/p reads 108/46. Should I be concerned?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Your diastolic pressure is very low. Normal diastolic pressure is between 70-90mmhg.
So you are having diastolic hypotension.
And it is common in COPD patients due to right sided heart failure.
So possibility of right sided heart failure is more in your case.
So consult your doctor and get done 2d echo to rule out heart failure.
You may need diuretic and cardiac inotropic drugs too.
Better control of COPD is also important. So take your inhalers timely.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
